Queen Mathilde visited fusion microfinance in India, a company financed by Incofin.

November 8, 2017

On the occasion of the state visit to India, her Majesty, Queen Mathilde, visited Fusion Microfinance where she had a personal interview with three women who could take their future into their own hands thanks to a microcredit that had been granted to them. Now these women have set up a clothing business, a carpet business and a football business. Thanks to the fact that they took this initiative and have an income, they now have more say in family matters and they can send their children to school.

In 2010 Incofin participated in the start-up of Fusion Microfinance which grants microcredits exclusively to female entrepreneurs. Through Rural Impulse Fund II Incofin became a  48% shareholder of this microfinance institution which had just started up with only 3 agencies. Today Fusion has over 330 agencies and well over 700,000 clients. In July 2017 Incofin cvso lent 4 million Euros to Fusion to support their geographical expansion.

The visit of the queen is a recognition of the hard work that was done in the past seven years and that perfectIy reflects the values of Incofin cvso.
